Barbara Jean Musante, of Trumbull, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2026, at the age of 78. Barbara was born on December 20, 1947, at Bridgeport Hospital to the proud parents Olaf and Irene Jurgens. She was a lifelong resident of Trumbull, while also enjoying spending many months each year in Fort Myers, Florida. Barbara found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading books on her Kindle, playing bingo, and trying her luck at the slot machines. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family. She especially loved playing cards with her granddaughters, moments that brought her great happiness and laughter. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, James Musante; her daughters, Kimberly Musante of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Pamela Musante of Trumbull, Connecticut; and her beloved granddaughters, Cassie Musante of Trumbull, Connecticut, and Carly Musante of Chattanooga, Tennessee. 

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, located at 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield, Connecticut 06824.
