Mary Patricia Wade

Mary Patricia Wade, 84, longtime Trumbull resident, passed away from Lewy Body Dementia on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at Marbridge Memory Care facility in Cheshire, surrounded by her children. Mary was the wife of the late Richard Wade. She was born on October 1, 1937, in Queens, New York to the late Patrick and Mary Kain O’Leary. 

Mary was a Registered Nurse who loved to care for people. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, both in Connecticut and Florida, especially her 11 grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games, dancing, and singing. She had a beautiful voice and even during her decline she often shared her love of music with staff and residents. Her greatest enjoyment came from being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. 

Mary is survived by her children and their spouses: Richard (Laurie) Wade of Shelton, Virginia (Tony) Chaverri of Seymour, Susan (Steven) Laskos of Burlington, and Deb (Dave) Fowler of Cheshire. She was the adoring grandmother of: Shannon Grakowsky; Ryan Wade; Jennifer Atchison; Tim and Patrick Chaverri; AJ, Aaron, and Amber Laskos; Wade, Troy, and Brad Fowler. She was the great-grandmother to: Michael, Morrigan, and Rhiannon Grakowsky; and Samantha Atchison.  She also leaves her siblings, Jeanne Shuster, and Patrick O’Leary.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Kathleen O’Leary. 

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 30th 2022 at 11:00AM at Christ the King Parish 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull.  A private interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association www.lbda.org/donate or The Brain Support Network brainsupportnetwork.org.
